The Acting Studio at Edgemar

Our mission is to provide a creative home to a community of passionate actors.
We offer sponsorship to international students wishing to participate in our one year Well-Rounded Actor's Intensive.

Actors are encouraged to raise the bar & work to their full potential on film & on stage.

*We provide a customized Conservatory
Program for each individual actor. Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Students
can map out a 3, 6 or 12 month program.

Celebrity Acting Coach Michelle Danner is the lead teacher at the Acting Studio. She has coached actors that have gone on to be nominated for Academy Awards and other notable recognition, some of her clients have included:
Gerard Butler, Chris Rock, Penelope Cruz, Salma Hayek, Zooey Deschenal, Christian Slater, Jamie Lynn Sigler, Michael Pena, Isla Fisher, Common, Brian McKnight, Rick Fox, James Franco, Marcia Cross, Catherine Bell, Gabrielle Union, Justin Chatwin, Justine Wadell, Rob Estes, and others.

Michelle Danner is a force in the Los Angeles artistic community. In addition to serving as the Artistic Director and co-founder of The Edgemar Center, she is also a prolific director, producer and actor. She is a passionate believer in artists creating their own self generated work and opportunities - and that philosophy has reverberated here at Edgemar. Edgemar Center for the Arts is the home to the Edgemar Theater Company, the original One Act Festival, "Acts on the Edge", the Edgemar Short Film Festival, the 2nd Annual Celebrity Poker Tournament and an outreach community program .

2) Audition for Edgemar's New comedic webisode series

3) Technical Interning Opportunities:

· Design/Production Committee:Produce the Lab Theatre season. Design sets, crew shows, and do inventory.

· Literary Committee:
Recruit, read, and do coverage on scripts. Meet with Artistic Director and select plays to be read by the company.

·Gallery and Special Events
Plan mixed media exhibits from photography, painting, sculpting ect../memorabilia that supports current production.

House Welcoming Committee:
During shows work as house manager, concessions, and in the box office.

·Outreach Seniors/Children Committee:
Working directly with the children and seniors in producing evenings of storytelling.

·Film Series/Marketing Committee:
Organize from scratch Edgemar Short Film Festival "The Edgies." An example series, "From Theatre to Film".

·Annual Fundraising Party Committee:
Organize Annual Fundraising Party, finding a theme, confirming talent, handling RSVP's and creating the auction book and raffle. Ex. Annual Edgemar Celebrity Poker Night

4)Free admission into all Edgemar events and shows
